Marko Corvil is the Second Commander of The Resistance. Now widowed, he lives with a demon by the name of Luna in a small home on Resistance territory within the Demon Forest when off duty, but spends a majority of his time in the main Eastern Resistance building.
He and his brother were born in a small town northeast from Ishalla, in the Demon Forest. He was born to a half-Ishallan mother named Lira and an unnamed demon as her partner. Regardless of their Ishallan bloodline, they were welcomed in the town from birth. Twins were exceptionally rare in this town, and so he and his brother were seen as signs of the Forest's blessing. To everyone's surprise, the two of them even inherited their demon father's potential for Healing abilities, with Marko's abilities appearing at the age of 5, and already showed great potential for Healing at around age 11.
As the two of them grew older, mercenaries from other towns came by because of news getting out about the fabled twins who showed impressive Healing skills at a young age. Various organizations sent their workers to investigate the possibility of having better healers among their ranks. Marko had a growing interest in these new travelers and their strange interest in him and his brother.
Marko started listening to the travelers' tales about the world outside the town. They often times brought trinkets and weapons from other locations, and Marko found himself fascinated and curious to know more. He and his brother improved their Healing under the guidance of their father, but Marko slowly started expressing his distaste at what he considered to be an incredibly stale life. He felt comfortable talking to his brother about how he felt, even though he knew Vin didn't share the same feelings.
By the time they were 16, Marko had grown sick of the town. He gave Vin a day's notice that the next morning he would leave the town. He asked Vin to come with him. He believed they were both destined to do great things on the battlefield, but Vin declined. Nonetheless they talked, and Marko discussed his plan along with his reasoning in further detail, but he was disappointed from his brother's lack of enthusiasm for the subject. Marko left the next morning, leaving only a map and a note to his brother, giving him an actual goodbye. He never saw his parents again, and never went back to the town he and his brother were born in.
He went to a nearby town that was nearly twice the size of the only one he ever knew. He saw what looked to be military personal or guards stationed around some of the buildings, and he quickly got information on how to join the local militia, and he was welcomed because of his skills with Healing. Over the next few years, he slowly worked up the ranks and managed to get himself a spot in one of the patrol squads. One day however, he was surprised to find his own brother staring him in the face wanting to talk. He had the day off so he spent it catching up with his brother. He was shocked to learn about what happened to their parents. He found himself regretting leaving the town without ever telling them goodbye. He offered Vin a place to stay and suggested he join the local militia with him and to his surprise, Vin accepted his offer this time.
They were relatively close until Marko started becoming jealous of his brother's Healing capabilities. By Vin's current day Power Ranking System, Marko at the time was an A rank Healer, while Vin already showed strength in multiple S rank Healing abilities. Vin quickly moved up through the ranks and even surpassed his brother. Soon, news came around about Vin and The Bull taking over Ishalla together. At this time, The Resistance was growing in members to combat Bull's growing militia, and he joined them, staying with them ever since.
Within the next few years he met the love of his life in The Resistance and got married. His wife was later killed by Bull's Army troops.
