Thousand ghosts manuscript

The Thousand ghosts manuscript is a legendary demonic cultivation technique which actually helps purify resentment. Many of the details of this manuscript have been lost to time and the risk of Qi deviation and inner demons has risen sharply. With how much is left of the technique it would actually be more accurate to call it the 350 ghosts pamphlet as only the basics and larger guidelines are still reliable.

Effect

This technique enables those who learn it to summon spirits and command vengeful spirits. On the surface, it looks like a simple method to gather an army but those who truly understand the manuscript and have a will to improve their skills can use this technique to experience a spirits lif as if it was their own in a dreamlike state and gain experiences through it.
Furthermore, although this technique is considered to be demonic cultivation due to its origin and use of vengeful spirits, the technique doesn't actually perform unilateral control over these spirits. Instead, a quiet contract and promise are formed between the practitioner and the spirits to absorb and reduce the vengeful ghosts resentment and help them move on. This is also the main reason of the practitioner being able to absorb demonic Qi without deviating.

This technique isn't without danger and requires a strong will. The experience of dreaming about many different lives can easily confuse a person. If someone's mind grows unstable their inner demons might grow out of control.
Besides the risk of confusion, there are also vengeful ghosts that pose a danger. Yes, it is true that this is the main source of strength for this technique but these spirits are nevertheless malevolent whether a person helps them or not. If a cultivator becomes too greedy and summons too many vengeful spirits, making the sum of accumulated strength more than 1,3 times their own strength, at ones or summons a vengeful spirit above their strength level the spirits are unlikely to listen and will attempt to tear them apart.
