Riland Alliance (Rai-land)

Structure

Each city has their own laws and regulations with the only unifying laws being the laws created by the central goverment. Each leader has their own group of advisors. Information typically flows from the bottom up to the top and then back down once more, often being called slow to act as a result.

Public Agenda

Investigate Magic: They call upon all mages to come to their cities and their academy's to further develop their own skills but also advance the knowledge of the known magical system to propel their society further.   Protect their Cities: They wish to maintain an non aggressor policy but will defend their own cites if threatened with an attack and will retaliate if any decided to assult their people.

History

Being formed in necessity due to local bandit raids, The citys came together to see what they could do about a local bandit problem all of them faced. With them all using their military power together they were easily able to defeat the bandits and get back what belonged to their people. Seeing the merits of working together they formed a consul. This lasted for a few years until they decided the need to have a tie breaker/decision maker that oversaw the meetings. This is when they chanced from a confederation to a republic.

Valuable trade partners

Tenuous Trade Partners

Due to the close proximity with the two nations they often engage in trade with one another. However the Riland Alliance has tried on several occasions to try and expand the land that the the Soule Kingdom doesn't utilize fully

Territory Dispute

The Ambroza Empire and Riland Alliance had been to war in the past. Alot of the Riland's progress can be directly tied to their competition with The Ambroza Empire.
