Gadriel Whiteflame
Appearance
Physical Condition
Gadriel is severely bulky, despite being a small and rather stout halfling. He contains what is known as unbeatable strength, having even faced off against giants in combat only to come out victorious. Gadriel has a bronze skin tone with a head of golden hair that has slowly begun to grey over time in a lion's mane. The lower part of Gadriel's face has numerous scars both from times he fell off of a horse and had small bits of road lacerate it, as well as numerous times when he received sharp blows from enemies in combat.
Facial Features
Besides having a deeply scarred lower face from many whacks and wallops to the chin and a strict set of eyes given a sheen of from their cobalt blue.
Apparel & Accesories
Gadriel is at all times in public seen wearing a gilded set of plate mail armor as well as a traditional green cape to symbolize both loyalties to the state and representation of loyalty to the Order's desire to keep Herkshire as it is. Among all the knights within the order, the one with the most powerful office is the Knight Supreme. As such, the relic of yore, the Holy Avenger, is entrusted to each Knight Supreme on the time that they take office, and now owned by Gadriel.
History
General
Gadriel was meant to be born, but earlier. It was prophesied that Gadriel, or perhaps his offspring, would usher in a new time for the Knight Order, and it must be done by 350 TF. Gadriel was born to a great family of renowned heroes of yore. As such, it was no surprise he performed with exceptional talent and was quickly inducted into the Herkshire Knight Order, as his father and fathers before him had. With a brave heart and a righteous sword, Gadriel was able to transform the Knight Order into one of honor. It has been able to uphold and even defeat any form of rebellion that has crossed within it. Gadriel has been credited as the 'Hero of Wolfden', having helped secure it from the dire wolf invasion of 326 TF. Gadriel, while not having it known to many, once actually burned down a part of his keep while experimenting with a rare substance known as 'black powder,' hoping to uncover its secrets for the ability to further protect the state.
Education & Employment
Gadriel has received numerous instances of high-level training from his affluent family's deep understanding of perfecting a supreme symbol of justice and good to help better Herkshire. As such, besides going to the Oakenfort Academy, Gadriel also went to the prestigious Herkshire Knight Order's headquarters to train with the Lion-Heart. Gadriel was first and foremost a Knight of the Order before he continued and climbed through the ranks, passing by the Knight Captains, Knight Left-Tenants, Knight Commanders, and then finally becoming the Knight Supreme of the Order.
Personal Philosophy & Motivations
Gadriel believes that to be 'always true' means to never fall for corruption. And even if it is longer and more arduous, the path of good is more important than to slip and fall upon the path of evil. The largest taboo that could ever be done is to betray one's people. If someone were to do that, in any way, they would feel the full force of Gadriel himself. Gadriel is motivated simply by his desire to protect Herkshire from all foreign and domestic problems. The duty has been passed down from his father, and he feels it necessary to help make the nation a better place and guide it to further successes.
Miscellaneous Information
Quirks
Gadriel is extremely good at the sword as well as battle tactics. As such, he has been renowned by many of the other state militaries near Herkshire as a 'master of the battlefield'. Unfortunately, as an adverse side effect, Gadriel has never been the best at dragonchess, which has been quite a laughable joke for him being the master tactician that he is. Besides being quick to act and having excellent reflexes, Gadriel is also a very calm and well-grounded individual. This has been effective in winning over several allies in the past.
Expectations
Gadriel has very simple taste and likes the easy living that he has found for himself and his fellow people of Herkshire. On the reverse, Gadriel has an extreme distaste of the raging city-life of Armertage which is known for being bustling at all times of the day. According to reports, Gadriel's biggest vice is by far his work. Like many people who find themselves at the top of an organization, Gadriel has become nearly addicted to his ideals and often suffers from severe fatigue after countless days of restless work.

Gadriel is a fairly well-mannered individual who radiates confidence and is able to easily hold a conversation with others in banquets. Whenever Gadriel wants to appear larger than life, he'll often be slouching upon the throne that he sits upon in the great hall of the Herkshire Knight Order headquarters. Besides this, Gadriel will often be seen moving his hands in grand movements to demonstrate enthusiasm when he gives speeches to his knights.
Personal Ties
Gadriel's contacts are quite numerous if you consider his affiliation with the Knight Order, but personal contacts are much less with the inclusion of Douven Wahl of Mariner Trading Company, and Kassandra of Local Handicrafts. On the other hand, with his family, it's significantly more close-knit. Gabriel's family has mostly lived on, with the exception of his younger brother, Seamus. Besides him, there is Gadriel's father Lasym, his mother Metha, as well as his grandfather Perin from his father's side.
Wealth
Gadriel is quite affluent due to the prestigious history of knights that his family has helped to foster over time, but he mainly uses his wealth in order to further fortify garrisons and soldiers of the Herkshire Knight Order, using it towards the betterment of society rather than for personal gain. Regardless, he has inherited a small keep just outside of Oakenfort itself that he uses to practice with his fellow knights.
