Wayism
More of a philosophy than a true religion, Wayism is most well known for being rather ambivalent about deities, although not forbidding of or opposed to them.
Tenets of Faith
Motivation is key to Wayism. It is not what people do, but why they do it, and not the destination they seek but the reason for the journey that they believe defines people and the world at large.
While some Wayists believe in pre-determined fates, most see the Way someone achieves their ends and the reasons behind it as the ultimate symbol of free will and independence.
To such Wayists, even the small rebellions of, say, an alfur soldier of the Empires of old looking the other way when they see a wanted fugitive of the state because they themselves do not believe their own leaders is powerful proof of their beliefs.
Priesthood
There are no real priests of Wayism, although there are several monkly orders dedicated to it, most notably the Order of the Winding Way.
Political Influence & Intrigue
Wayism has no central authority with which it can speak in a single voice, although there have been some influential Wayists that have helped spread it's message over the millennia.
The path to fulfilment is in the Way it is achieved, not in what one achieves.
