Errant, Envoy

Envoys are a specialised sub-caste of Errant that are generally found in regions where the local colonies peacefully co-exist and interact with other races, although most Matriarchs can create them if they have the desire/need to. Physically, they are the least like other saurtara of all the castes, lacking snouts and tails and with a leathery hide with scales only where a human might have hair (and even then, not always, with some being entirely without scales). They also tend to be shorter and less bulky than Errants, making the taller Envoys seem lanky or gangly more than anything.

Envoys predominantly act as ambassadors for their adopted colonies in order to prove themselves although more mercantile colonies often use them to expand their influence and even the more war-like colonies find them to be capable, scouts, spies and even battlefield spellcasters due to their more esoteric inclinations.

Ability Scores: Envoys are much more charismatic than their common cousins but their lesser focus on fighting means they are also much weaker. Envoys gain +2 Wisdom, +2 Charisma and -2 Strength. This racial trait replaces the usual Errant ability scores.
Diplomatic Caste: Envoys gain a +2 racial bonus on diplomacy checks. This racial trait replaces Counter-balance.
Envoy Magic: Envoys add +1 to the DC of any saving throws against enchantment spells that they cast, including the spell-like abilities gained from this racial feature, if any (but not other spell-like abilities except for invocations). Envoys with Charisma scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities:   1/day—charm person, and memory lapse (from the Advanced Player's Guide). The caster level for these is equal to the Envoy's level. The DC for these spells is equal to 10 + the spell's level + the Envoy's Charisma modifier. This racial trait replaces Multitalented and Saurtara Scales. • Special Note: Because Envoys tend to be shorter and lighter than their common cousins they use the tarran’s size and weight chart rather than the Errant’s.
