Availion's Islands

Discovered only 35 years ago by the rich Elven explorer Availion.
The region contains atleast 15 major islands, with smaller islands throughout.
Few have been colonized, but a period of rapid expansion has begun now that the word of Kroxite has spread.
Despite the expansion large parts of the region are still unexplored. Traveling south west has been proven to be dangerous. Few ships that attempt to explore the islands make it back successfully.

Geography

A large island chain with the primary islands being semi mountainous. With many small coral islands.

Fauna & Flora

Trees are abundant and lush due to the familiar rains of the region. Primarily a species of Teak and bamboo,. The Southern Islands tend to have larger tress Kapoc trees can be found towering over some of the lushest islands.
Fruit trees and Bushes can be found natively on the islands.
Dense underbrush is found from moss and ferns.

Natural Resources

All Islands explored have the Crystal Kroxite found in unpredictable places. Highly Sought after for it's powers as a catalyst in enhancing objects.
The volcanic formed islands tend to have raw minerals found in mountains on the mainland that have been able to be used in construction.
Harvest able stone can be an issue for most islands. Often one of the most imported good, due to the dual purpose of needing ballast for ships already.
