Draedenalie
Draedenalie is an ancient tree that has been in the Elemental Plane as long as the Spellquivers.
Description
Draedenalie was originally tall enough to pierce the clouds. However, in its current withered state, it has shrunk to the point where it is unrecognizable from what it once was. It strongly resembled an oak tree, and it was said to bear fruit once every decade with a very unique taste.
In the current days, Draedenalie is still a large tree, though it is visibly dying, and has lost all of its leaves. The grass surrounding it has begun to dry out, as well.
Origin Stories
There are quite a few legends pertaining towards its origin, though nobody truly knows the full truth of the matter.Yinlae's Blessing
It is said that, long ago, before any people came to the Elemental Plane, Yinlae, the goddess of plants and harvest, planted the tree in order for it to be a boon for future civilizations, and that she even imbued it with a small fragment of her own magical energy. The Great Wyrm's Grave
A very old and popular tale among the peoples of the Elemental Plane speak of a hero who consistently fought with an incredibly large dragon. Every day, the two would clash until they were both collapsed from exhaustion. This would go on so the dragon would be unable to storm the villages and cities. But, one day, the hero thought up an idea, and used his magic to make a massive tree come forth from the ground, trapping the dragon within its branches.

Totally forgot I haven't done an article on them yet. tl;dr they're essentially a group of magic users (who mainly used bows instead of wands or staffs) that came to the Elemental Plane a preeetty long time ago from Neranda (another dimension, which I haven't written up about despite how important it is). The amount of magical energy within the Elemental Plane essentially made them even stronger casters. Very recently though (within the last 6 years) they were all killed off by a guy named Basarios (whose article I haven't finished). I use them as a reference for time here because they were the second group of peoples to actually live within the Elemental Plane, the first being the people of Arrenterius, which was a long time before the Spellquivers came. (aka, Draedenalie came along sometime before the Spellquivers came, but after the time of Arrenterius)
That is a pretty cool idea - it sounds like your next article :D
