History
Patient Zero:
The first victim was a man, called Meldon Brix, a historian, went out to explore The Ruins of Rukan. When he returned, he found he was unable to remember where his house was. After a week, he was reported to have bumped into things more, and didn't respond to questions. After a week, he didn't show up to a meeting with his co-workers and had stayed home. After a fortnight, he was found dead. After the autopsy was done, he was found with no brain (i.e. it completely disappeared) which explains the symptoms.
Outbreaks:
There was one outbreak, and it happened when the Elph species were first discovered. It is thought to have happened because the disease was able to fester in the hiding space and once it was opened, it was able to diffuse into the air.
Famous people who have died from Elphen's Bite:
The most famous person to have contracted the disease was Silas Hardy, who was a philanthropist, after having had a fruitful career in the mercenary's life. He had joined a band of mercenaries who were to investigate further the newly discovered Elph species.
