Appearance
Amherst is a male vi of average height. He is muscular, although this might not be readily apparent given vi physiology. He wears a lot of layers and has no compunction about his body odor, which seems strangely sweet. His skin is pointed, with dark and rusty tones for his points. His eyes are a gold color. He is from the Inefou Empire. His family was troubled, with his mother dying at a young age. He was a bit of a kleptomaniac as a child and was sent to a disciplinary school for young boys. At that place, he learned to hate the system and hate Inefou, a sentiment that has only grown since. He has been in and out of prisons since, but these experiences only encouraged the fires of revenge and spite in his heart. Amherst defines himself as a criminal, in "all the ways that it counts", which includes being very gay.

Spite is what drives Amherst. He doesn't mind the money, either. But, given a choice between the two, he'd sooner burn the bastards to the ground just for the sake of mayhem than put himself in a compromising position to make some quick cash. Even though he is specifically resentful of the Empire, he carries that hatred through to almost everyone he meets, especially other vi.

Current Life
He met another male vi named Teeth who also has a background in the tenuous life of Infeou. The two are romantic partners. Teeth, however, had a great deal more technical knowledge and access to technology than him. With Teeth's input, they were able to steal a modern ship, which they named The Painter.Quirks
