Rumbling Forest
Rumbling Forest, thought to be so named due to the constant earthquakes, is home to a number of wild and strange creatures that inhabit it. These include a massive Torterra, and Connor {that's me :) }.
The true source of the name is a corruption of the ancient word for sleeping, which could still be in reference to the Torterra. What is probably not in reference to the Torterra, however, is the shrine in the depths of the forest. The shrine is dominated by a red gate with a crescent moon on the top, and surrounded by black pillars. On the ground, pinned under a rock just outside the gate is a white hood. There are prayers written on scraps of paper covering every inch of the gate. Deeper into the shrine is a deep, deep pit, whose walls are also covered in prayer papers.
After Torterra was discovered by the rangers and Team Relic, it was removed from the forest by unknown means. The Huge Tree and constant rumbling are gone now.
Geography
There is a large hill containing a cavern near the heart of the forest. Inside the cavern is a PC machine, which allows Pokémon stored within to roam the surrounding area.
Deeper in, there is a clearing in the forest, ringed with stones, where no trees but one seem to grow. Strange…
Localized Phenomena
The massive earthquakes that shake the area are a result of the absolutely gigantic Torterra buried in the forest. It slumbers, and whenever it shifts even slightly, it does a whole bunch of seismic activity.
Furthermore, people have been noted to disappear in the forest, simply entering and never coming out.
