Doctor Lucas Morgenstern
An environmentalist and scientist who focus primarily on climate change. He is nervous talking about most things, but when a conversation touches on his interests, he lights up and becomes extremely animated. He is investigating the supercooled chain that he calls Glepnir, and he believes that it may be the key to reversing the changes in the world since days past.
He leads a team of researchers in investigating the causes and solutions to the changing climate, and he hosts talks about nature to raise awareness. He partners with the Pokémon rangers, and he uses an Auroras to help him explore cold environments safely.
Morgenstern was first introduced to the party in the middle of dent forest, where he somehow snuck up on them despite the massive dinosaur behind him. He told them about his projects and about the chain. He invited them to his conference, gave them a protection from cold, and headed into the city.
His conference in Verlio City was interrupted by The Stranger possessing his assistant and causing massive damage. Thanks to the intervention of Connor and Jace, casualties were kept to a minimum.
At his request, Jace bent the truth of Team Relic's actions to help persuade people that the environment is in trouble.
When he attempted to hold a second conference in Jaslow, it was once more attacked by The Stranger. This time, seemingly coincidentally, the city as a whole is attacked by Team Relic, and The Stranger retreats.

He is the leader of Team Relic. His belief that humans are destroying the environment has led him to a dangerous conclusion. If humans cannot be redeemed, the only solution is to wipe them all out. To that end, he intends on releasing the ancient calamity of legend to wipe the world clean.
