Dorshgum City

Dorshgum city sits in the middle of the region, right on the bay. It is renowned for hosting the Pokémon league Championships, and when a powerful trainer or important person visits the region Dorshgum is where they stay. The Elite four also live in Dorshgum, and yearly meetings are held by the Gym Leaders to determine things like succession and replacing Leaders.

Government

Dorshgum is home to the Elite four, and when there is one the Champion. With the strongest trainers in the region overseeing things, Dorshgum city is as close to crime-free as you can get.

Districts

The thing newcomers to the city see first is always the same thing: Dorshgum Castle. The castle is an old, old construction reinforced with modern materials and techniques. The keep is kept clear for Pokémon battles, and rooms are kept inside the building for visiting elites. The throne room is one of the most reinforced rooms in the building, since that is where new champions are crowned and defend their titles.   Close to the water is the port, where the S. S. Cynthia docks until the Victory Road is open. Victory Road is a special ocean route along the coast of the region that can only be sailed when the currents align just so, and is home to extra dangerous wild Pokémon. As well as the Pokémon, trainers on victory road have to watch out for each other, as only half the trainers who enter the ship can move on to battle the league. Usually, this is decided by battling on board, but some are not above committing crimes to secure their position. Such a tactic has never worked, but that doesn't mean people won't do it.

Points of interest

Trainers taking the Pokémon League challenge will likely pass through Dorshgum before they are ready, and few manage to acquire all eight gym badges and return. Trainers with all eight badges must pass through the Victory Road, taking on other qualified trainers and powerful wild Pokémon. When the route is complete, each remaining trainer must battle and defeat the Elite four in any order, which is extremely difficult to pull off considering that there are no breaks allowed. If by some miracle the Four are defeated, the challenger may battle the defending Champion for the title in the throne room.
