Back in the day, a long long time ago, there was born a red headed stepchild named Marro. He was born into a family that was looked down upon by the local ruling church of Istishia. When he was but a young lad his father, who was fluent in the magical art of wizardry, disappeared to be seen no more. As Marro grew up to be a young man he decided that he wanted to learn magic so he could use it to find out what had happened to his father. So to magic school he went, whereupon he met his now best friend, Jarris Fairblade, "The Man of Many Talents", the gift of gab being one of his most proficient conquered talents. After attending a few years at the school of magic Jarris and I set out on our initial tour of the world putting our learned magic to use. While on the road our paths crossed with my older brother. Harool and his friend Magma. Since the joining of the 4 musketeers, we have been helping put down evil, learning a great deal more magic, and helping people and towns solve their overwhelming problems wherever we go. We are ready, as one, to solve Marro's greatest perplexing mystery of all, finding what has happened to his 1st magic teacher, his beloved father.

History
When Marro moved to Cormyr, he met a Mage that worked within the Purple Dragon Network. She was king of seen as an "Old Maid" as she never married and had no kids. But she worked with the investigation school, mostly in research & records. She gave Marro room & board in exchange for translation/scribe services. She was about 36 when he started working under her at age 22. She vouched for him for enrollment and helped him get admission the following year.
Nicknames & Petnames
She calls Marro Amber, or a "Lump of Amber". This is in relation to his hair color, but more so that he is slow to act, stubborn, and as she would say in jest "Utterly useless, but still nice to look at".
Relationship Reasoning
She kept things decently professional. But a Friends with Benefits arrangement was brokered for a large extent of his stay with her, before he moved to the dorms.

Marro's PreLich History
26th Marpenoth, 1500
It was the 26th of Marpenoth 1500, Jarris and I aligned Shamblin's telescopes correctly in the night sky room of the mansion in the extra dimensional space. It opened a secret door to a room with a private library. Where yet we found the 3rd book of 20 that has an added big red letter on the spine. Note to self: I think if we get all the books together and figure out what the red letters spell, and to what purpose. We sat down for a meal with cumin and to feed us vegetables. while we were eating then we saw 2 fairy dragons through the windows behind Jarris. I saw a chair in the hallway. I went to get it and it became a mimic who tried to attacked me. Jarris attacked with magic missile twice, I attacked it once with magic missile, and Magma stabbed it twice. After we destroyed it we went upstairs I discovered a piece of cloth with Fistandia, Jarris friend from our magic academy, with her note written on it. " It is sad when a gentleman looks so refined, yet has nothing of note for he himself to gaze upon". Magma rotated the suit of armor 180 degrees and pulled down the stairs to the attic. Magma, Harool, and I went upstairs. While I was detecting magic, Harool and Magma climbed into the magic wardrobe and were teleported to the western part of the world whereupon they met a drunk ogre and a very pretty elven woman who promptly sent them back to Jarris and I. Then we went downstairs and investigated the lab on the 2nd floor. Jarris grabbed the "T", Time book. I grabbed the astrology book and drew the star map from the wall onto some parchment. We went through the door on the star wall and entered the observatory room with the 1' crystal ball in the middle of 5 telescopes. Jarris and I aligned the 5 telescopes to the 5 stars that were drawn on the wall in the next room. by doing this, it opened up a secret door to Fistandia's private library. Going into the library Harool picked up the "E", "Extra dimensional space" book again and I picked up the "L", book on Martial Attack Techniques, with an L on the spine & a bust of Mordenkainen on the cover in draconic. We tried to get more books but decided that they were personal to Fistandia and we left them there. We went into the trophy room and grabbed the "Y", ?, Book. Found another of Mordenkainen books in the top draw of the ? room with the Letter "B", Personal memoir breaking through barriers and stuff like that. Harool and Jarris decided from Mordenkainen's books that the password for the wardrobe is "Liberty". Magma, Jarris, and I discussed all that we know about Shamblin and came up with allot of things we had known between us. Under the dolls in the attic I discovered a dark navy blue paper with silver with "1407" on the envelope. The letter inside mentions The Festival of" Greengrass", spring time and making love, etc..., and the equinox. The dolls we placed here by the male halfling for his true love, an asian elf. The dolls were placed here by him for her to represent the children that they could of had. He left the 9 dolls up here for her to find them but they never came back up here to get them. In the library on the 1st floor, I noticed the library is not as big as it should be, Hidden Area, Hint, hint. I rolled a 1 on finding the passage to the hidden area. Jarris discovered the mechanical wooden lever. It opened up the area to stairs going down to the basement. At the bottom of the stairs we entered a room with glass jars up to 6' tall. 1 is open with no occupant in it. This room is full of creatures that are preserved in liquid in the jars. In there is a Pseudo Dragon, sprout mushroom guy with other odd creatures. In the corner is a Slaad tadpole, extra dimensional creature, that decides to attack us right away. Jarris magic missiles it for 12 points of damage and destroys the Slaad. The next room over is a summoning room with a 12" big toad in the corner acting casual. 28 on arcana and discerned that it is probably a magically disguised imp. Magma crushed it on the 1st swing. The 3rd room is an alchemy room designed to turn things into silver for Shamblin. The only book that we should keep with us is the "Extra dimensional Space" one because that one is the only magical book of the lot. Shamblin and Fistandia created the others by themselves. I am also keeping the "L", book on Martial Attack Techniques, with me so I can read it and try to learn to fight better. ON GUARD!!!
