General Physical Condition

One patron of the Hearth stands out among the rest: a chaotic good ogre wearing a headband of intellect. He sits by himself in a corner, reading a book titled The Sum of Theology by Saint Vetheera, a servant of Oghma (god of knowledge).
A few years ago, the ogre was like others of his kind — brutish and cruel. He met a halfling adventurer wearing the shiny gold headband and killed the puny runt for it. When the ogre attuned to it, the headband grew in size, allowing him to don it. As a genius, the ogre felt compelled to learn the error of his ways and seek out a better life. He adopted the name Little One, to honor the poor halfling whose life he cut short.

History

Little One is Kaleb's closest friend. They travel into the city together on the same days. Coming in at Sunset & leaving out at sunrise on a regular caravan that comes up and down the Way of the Lion.

Relationship Reasoning

Both feel out of place in Candlekeep. A lot of brainiacs and wealthy nobles make them feel disjointed inside the Fort City. So they feel more at ease around those with less pretense.

History

Little One stood up for Magma when some pompous scholars were kind of mocking Magma (implying he is a mindless brute who only got in cuz his master was allowed a pet). Little one deflected the jabs & kept things from escalating to violence. He confided in Magma he too came from a horrifically violent past and he is grateful to be enlightened now. But others without the misfortune of bloodlust don't understand the strength it takes to put it down.

A seemingly civilized ogre wearing a headband of intellect is most often found sitting by himself in a corner of the Hearth's taproom, reading a book.
