Before Calamity (B.C) and After Calamity (A.C) and Current Era (C.E)
The most common reference to the current timeline within Toril. Before Calamity (B.C) Reprisents the years before the event that split the world. A vast war between kings and men holds no purchase on the intensity of the War of the Gods and Titans. As a result of this ancient battle between the gods, demihumans and angels, against titans, devils and demons, left the world asunder and was the creation of The Crag.

The beginning of some calendars, though an unpopular stance as this was still quite long ago, and to write dates as long as 16,962 A.C is an unpopular choice. This is where the destruction of the gods and titans had settled and life began to rise again in the newly formed world. This was a long time ago, however there are plenty of deep-rooted families that have history within the Era, including many of the founders of the nations we know today.

This is the starting point for most calendars, by these standards it is currently 1635 C.E or in the After Calamity Calendar - 16,635
After Calamity (A.C)

After Calamity is the time in which Humans and Elves began. roughly 15,000 years ago life began again as small tribes and groups of nomadic Elves and Humans. This was long after the war of the gods and many people are unsure exactly when this Era began, but as a generality and what has been the most popular consensus is that this Era began 15 thousand years ago. Not a time of stone buildings and infrastructure in the begining, but as societies began to congregate and amalgomate into hovels and towns, society slowly begins towards later half of this Era. This leads into nations being born and colaberations of peoples creating government and society as a whole, and this is when A.C would end and the Current Era would begin.
Current Era (C.E)
15000 and beyond
The beginning of most current calendars are here. This Era has been the begining of true nations and vast infrastructure of cities and towns. Most people born at the begining of this Era have passed and had a few generations since, except for Elven heritage, this is the second generation of Elven kind in the Current Era.

Military actionAbout a year ago, something terrible happened, and, is one of the reasons it is so dangerous to live on the fringes of society. On the boarders of the Badlands and Eastmarch it's generally quiet, save the patrols of troops making their way to U'rt Gard Outpost. Some of the more nomadic and secluded species choose to live in fringe societies on the edges of Gnarwood forest, only a few days travel from the border of the desert. It's far enough from society, and close to valuable resources for survival, therefor this area tends to harbour small 'pop-up' towns of tents and shelters. There was a flash of white, and fires set ablaze as thousands were slaughtered in a night.
