Nortspire

To the north of Eastmarch, we find Nortspire, as travel becomes more difficult, and the northern temperature set's in, Nortspire is home to few, save those who prefer the harsh nomadic lifestyle. The further north you travel from Eastmarch, the colder it gets and at the farthest point known to anyone from the south is a grand mountain range, where it perpetually snows, and is far too cold to inhabit life of any sort. Small Taiga areas in the snow and ice ridden tundra are able to sustain small amounts of life and the mountain range from the north that spans down towards The Crag is one of the few areas where precious irons and metals can be mined.

Geography

Vast open glacial deserts for as far as the eye can see. Once you pass the threshold where the last Taigas end and the tundra begins there is nothing but ice and snow for miles, save the distant mountain ranges. Farther north, and in some sections close to The Crag in the east, there are vast mountain ranges spanning the entirety of the continent, with small mountain passes through to the north pole. One peak stands out far above the others even from a distance. Peering onto the horizon a large single mountain juts through higher than the rest, this mountain is known as Frostpine Mountain.

Fauna & Flora

In the southernmost regions of Nortspire a few sparcely placed evergreen trees are able to maintain life in the small Taiga areas around the rivers that only flow in the hottest of seasons through the summer. Anything past a certain point cannot maintain any life. All plants and animals die off and the North becomes a barren wasteland.

Natural Resources

Some of the more mountainous regions within the Reach is very mineral rich, however extemely dangerous. There are a few northern mines that have stout workers resistant to cold that are able to maintain a good flow of iron down to the rest of The Reach. Other than this, there is a lack of resources on all ends. Minimal water as most of it is frozen, and little to now trees or plants grow in these areas.
