Kilric

Summary

Tittles

God of life death and light, Husband of Aih'aya, Lord of Hyeros, Godcaster of Sethir, Patron of the Discerning.

Description

Kilric is by far the most commonly worshiped of the Godcasters, having followers even as far west as Tiorath and far south as Nor'Tirath. He is one of the most widely accepted member of the Sethiri Pantheon amongst other Pantheons, considered as kin to Sericil. He is second in power only to Endros in his native Pantheon. Kilric took on the role of both the god of life and death, seeking to bring light to both the living and dead.   Kilric is refered to as the Patron of the Discerning due to his view on the art of Suncasting. He taught his first followers that heat could be used to bring warmth and healing to the weary, and flaming death to the wicked. Kilric taught that it was the duty of the discerning to learn when and how to use his gifts.   He bares himself like a king standing tall and proud. However he often lowers himself to meet the eyes of his loyal followers, and is the most overtly kind of the Godcasters. He is driven by the moral passions of his people, and shares his love of his followers with his wife Aih'aya, the Godcaster of growth.

Appearance

Kilric takes the form of a broad-shouldered and tall man, with a neat deep-brown beard and short hair with a lightly pointed fringe. His eyes are most often a warm yellow-orange to reflect the kind and giving warmth of the sun, but at times are a deep red-orange that take over the entirety of his eyes, the latter of which occurs when he becomes maddened.   Kilric's armor is constructed from a series of rose-gold plates with broad shoulder plating. The armor is highlighted by a myriad of embossed patterns of gold and silver, and he has been seen with both a helmet and a crown. When his appearance is tied to mass-death and war he wears a helmet similar to a rounded great-helm or great bascinet with a lowered profile. His helmets visor narrows towards the chin, and the eye slots burn with orange-red light. In times of peace and renewal he wears a crown that appears as a pair of intertwining rose-gold branches with gold leaves forming three peaks at the front of the crown.   He wields a Tinesword in the form of a cleft great sword. Each blade takes the form of one half of a great sword blade, both sides beginning on a thinner neck, broadening outward quickly then slowly tapering towards the peak. The blade is a lustrous silver, and the Tines are rose gold. The Tines on Kilric's sword have flattened corners, and the fork at the base of the Tines slowly Taper in mimicry of the blades. The handle is made of whitened bone and ends in a fishtail pommel. The guard lifts upward in a rounded crescent that twists and flattens towards the raised tips.

History

Kilric was the most active of the Godcasters during the second age, and was the one to draft the initial document that would be amended and eventually re-drafted by Aih'aya until it became The Gateway Pact.
