Lyssna Lyda (LIE-snuh LIE-duh)

The Lyssna Lyda is known as the capital of the entire megalopolis. This district is ruled by the Unaligned Council, with many other nobles residing in the area, each playing intricate chess games of power as they struggle to gain or maintain dominance. Most bureaucratic agencies in Titan Spire are located here, as well as courts, financial institutions, embassies, and hotels for visitors with multi-day business in the area.   Entering into the Lyssna Lyda is not difficult; with its central location, the public transport lines all originate here, and the four main residential districts all have direct access. While getting in is easy, there will be eyes on every move from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave - authorities, nobles, and more have agents everywhere. Nothing goes unnoticed in this part of the world. Each faction keeps their tabs.   The buildings here are towering, with ample space left between them to allow for natural waterfalls, fountains, fields of produce, cozy bonfires, and viewing platforms on every level of the district. This is one of the lowest density populations in all of Titan Spire - only the most wealthy can afford housing here, and the residences are lavish beyond belief.

Important Locations

The Valda - The main building in the Lyssna Lyda, jutting up through the center of the district and spanning many levels. This is home to the Unaligned Government which rules the Central Spire and beyond. They hold sway over most of the city's day-to-day functions so that the Titans do not have to deal with the petty needs of mortals. This mountainous tower houses a huge workforce of paper pushers and bureaucratic nightmares. There's a joke in the Lesser Wards about being summoned to the Valda: you're either set for life or disappearing forever. And it's not entirely off the mark.   The Elemental Embassies - Each of the four Elemental Lords have an embassy in Lyssna Lyda to conveniently conduct much of their factions' business. The four embassies perfectly surround the Unaligned Council's main headquarters, The Valda. While they, as operatives for the Elemental Lords, technically hold more power than the Unaligned Council, their embassies residing within Drea Raziah's domain means a strange balance has been struck.   Central Tax Inspection Service (CTIS): This building is much smaller then The Valda but as an agency it holds enough power that it's earned its own location, when most departments reside within the Valda itself. One of the few buildings in Lyssna Lyda that looks worn and out of date, most assume the tight-fisted faction is too cheap to get it remodeled, while other say the people inside literally suck the life out of everything, even the building they work within. This agency takes a hefty portion of Titan Spire's hard-working residents' paycheck, and most of it goes towards appeasing the Elemental Lords.   Louise's Cheeses: This small food cart moves between several locations in the main square of Lyssna Lyda, where the wafting smells of grilled cheese sandwiches attract people from all walks of life. No one knows how Louise, the large ogre who owns and operates the cart, keeps getting a license in this area while everyone else is denied. Some say that Louise is secretly a master of bureaucracy, or maybe in deep with one of the factions. The ogre's lips are sealed, and has no time for chit chat, but one thing is for sure: the sandwiches are amazing, whether eaten plain or with any of the myriad additional filling options.
