Iffr Docks (EE-fer)

The Iffr Docks, also known as the Upper Docks, are the official entrance to the Central Spire for people and cargo alike. They are well guarded, maintained and stocked, and they're the main location for expedition ships - vessels that head out in search of collapsed worlds inside the many pocket planes that exist in the Astral Sea. These worlds are treasure troves of materials and magicks that can be sold for massive profits, and the Iffr Docks house storage areas where many of the larger or more valuable items can be held. Only those who are deeply trusted and known to be loyal can get hired here; those lucky few are guaranteed a secure life for as long as they can keep their nose clean.
Guards patrol every other corner, and magical surveillance is present everywhere, seen or unseen. The enormous value constantly passing through these docks means those who can afford it hire additional private security to guard their shipments' comings and goings. In short, security is tight, and shenanigans are few.
While the Iffr Docks provide such quality service for its operations, the accommodations for residents here tend to be more modest, most built in large, manor-like complexes that pack as many people as possible inside. However, the units are decently furnished and include utilities and other amenities, where most other locations would charge an arm and a leg for such services.

Important Locations

Santiago Shipyards: In this day and age, these master shipwrights produce most of Titan Spire's vessels. Most of the competition has struggled to keep up for years, but it recently got even worse for them; Santiago completed and released their newest design, allowing them to go twice the distance for the same amount of magical energy.
Rose Drift Storages: Madam Rose holds the largest collection of storage units in the Iffr docks. While many come to her to keep items of value, others ask her to take care of other materials that can't be stored anywhere else. She is careful, resourceful, and still reasonable with her prices. Renowned for having never lost anyone's items, she's willing to stake her reputation on continuing that streak.
Axel Delivery System: The largest network of magical pipes and tubes, able to send any item of medium size or smaller. It's the fastest way to deliver items across the Central Spire, secure and even capable of transporting liquids and flammables safely. The price is at the point nowadays that it costs a small fortune to use it, but no other service offers such convenience with such security.
