Gromm (Grom)

The residential district closest to the Elemental Titan of Earth, its buildings are designed using a good deal of vertical space, leaving as much room as possible for trees and growth. There's a region where it's illegal to cut down or remove plants of any kind, even invasive ones; the plants have been given priority over the other residents in this block. This has caused many issues for the growing population though it seems that of all the blocks, this one has drawn families and seems to promote a sense of well-being, children growing up surrounded by nature and adults calmed by it as well.   Most of the lowest levels of Gromm are covered in small rivers and fjords. They are home to tiny Sun Bugs, giving off light that promotes growth in the plantlife it touches. Some vital foods are grown in these parts, and many people work here tending and harvesting the crops to export to the rest of the city. It is unofficially estimated that, despite governmental portioning, about half of the food produced here will end up transported to the Lesser Wards, but the source of this information and its veracity have yet to be confirmed.   This is one of the most popular districts to live in, though a few areas within the perimeter and closer towards the lower sections have gone dark. There, the air is thicker and the scent of something foul fills the air. While many keep away from these districts as they believe that the plants have just taken over, many speculate that something sinister is happening under the cover of these deterrents. The guards don't care, and anyone brave enough to enter is never seen again.

Important Locations

The Lower Groves - The lowest levels of the district, and home to the populations of Sun Bugs. These bugs are protected by the citizen and any harm done to them will cause residents to take law into their own hands. Even a slight disruption to the population could have bad effects on the plant growth in these areas as the groves are all normally underground or in the lowest levels without much natural access to sunlight. Each of these groves are considered to be owned by whoever owns the property above, in case of multiple people owning property above then it will be split equally between all people.   Wardens Flow - The strangest building in the entire district, a shop built out of the internals of a tree, making a large treehouse shop that seems to expand in one of the natural districts. Though many think this is an illegal thing, guards have checked multiple times to find permits signed and sealed and even one from the Earth Titan herself signed. Though as of Late many do not dare to question the Warden of this tree as she is the main Apothecary for the entire district, giving out natural medicine to people and helping cure people for less then what it costs for a cleric or magical healing.   The Forsaken Zone - In some locations, plants have taken over from people. While in most areas its only a floor or two in others entire buildings have become overrun, nature taking back what is its right and forcing people out. In certain areas the mist grows thick and the plants choke out all other life. Anyone who enters will simply vanish without return. The Forsaken Zone is said to be a death trap, though a few have returned with a strange fruit that The Warden pays enough credits to last a year on. This had led to desperation and death, but also a few stories of pure wealth.
