Shemahn Shoshdar

The hall's located inside a manor, it’s a short walk from the bakery just outside town. The monstrous building mounted on the side of the hill. It was well built even for its age, the stones did not have a single crack or dirt, you would expect a thousand-year-old castle to have some damage, perhaps it has been rebuilt or refurbished? I wonder what life was like in Azaad centuries ago, what they wore and what they ate. The manor was created as if it were a castle. The main building was a huge rectangle block coated in blue glass windows, it didn't show what was inside it, but it was reflective, you could only see yourself behind it like a mirror. Surrounded by the manor stood five minarets each one taller than the trees in the forest.

Purpose / Function

The Azaadi take pride in the Shemahn Shoshdar as it showcases the great successes of their culture, acting as a model for patriotism and honour. The Manor is famous for Lamentari lootings (though do not bring this conversation up with a Lamentari), looting everything in the building except for the paintings that had been left perfectly on the wall. Why? Well this is an ongoing mystery. The Manor house has become a venue for special events mostly resevered for the wealthy, events like weddings, balls and funerals are all held here. It is also one of the few oldest and surviving Azaadi Landmarks known to date.

Alterations

The Manor had been attacked by the Lamentari during the battle of Akaash, the battle which kickstarted the Lamentari occupation in Azaad. The stone walls had been severly broken, during also this time many Azaadi treasures had been looted and ransacked. To this day no Azaadi truly knows what happened to these old relics, you will find people from the black market who will give an attempt at forging these treasures but no such claim has ever been taken too seriously.
Lamentari forces have since then rennovated the manor, replacing the old stones with Xercsi favouring for a more durable build.

Architecture

A slight mix between Gothic and Rococo styles of architecture. Rooms are littered with ornamental pieces, chandeliers hanging by a thread upon a 20 metre high ceilings and rooms lit with sunshine seeping through coloured stained glass windows. In our world Shemahn Shoshdar would bear resemblance to the winter palace in St Petersburg, Russia.

History

Azaadi historians love to date the Shemahn Shoshdar in the year of Shemar which is named after the famous Azaadi king. However a more conservative approach would actually suggest the manor being made under king Salwan, on the year of Firansi (Glad-tidings). It is said to be made in the honour of King Shemar's goodwill and philanthropy.
