Xercsi
Properties
Material Characteristics
Teal coloured crystals shards when solid.
Physical & Chemical Properties
Xercsi is cool and safe to touch.
Geology & Geography
Xercsi is found across upper Tierrhya. However the Lamentari and the Azaadi have a bit of a soft spot for mining in northern Azaad.
Origin & Source
Xercsi is found underground, you will have to go in and around 50 feet deep in order to be able to mine this element. Knowing the best place to dig up Xercsi is not a challenge, all one needs to do is find the nearest patch of soil which grows the Qosus plant which isn't very hard to find.
Life & Expiration
The crystal has a life span of 4000 years in our world.
History & Usage
Everyday use
It may be common for us in our modern world to look up at the tainted glass windows of the towers high up but it is pretty rare to find this in Tierrhya. Xercsi is used to create the exterior walls of elaborate mausoleums and grand mansions. The Lamentari have been the most progressive in the production of Xercsi.
Industrial Use
Xercsi is combined with a bit of crushed stone. Note: The ratio of Xercsi should always be higher than stone. This creates a new kind of crystal which could then be used in construction. Think of it like transluecent glass but a lot more durable.
Manufacturing & Products
Translucent glass ( though a little different to glass) used for the exterior of grand building projects, for example the Castelle Obex or the Azaadi Manor.
Reusability & Recycling
Shattered and torched, Xerci can be used to make clear glass.
Distribution
Trade & Market
Lamentari and Azaadi construction workers typically have an abundance of this. It is not usually traded in market stalls or anything of the sort so usually the rulers, typically Lamentari fund this operation and hire miners. Therefore the surplus of Xercsi lie in the hands of the Lamentari. Though if you are really keen on getting this, you might find luck in the black-market.
Storage
Stored underground, typically in large stoned containers.
Law & Regulation
Miners are the only qualified labourers for the job since it is quite an impossible task for one to be mining Xercsi alone.
