The Deva

The Deva are the pantheon of gods worshiped primarily by The Argan Empire. The Deva are thought to have manifested into physical existence during the time of the Golden Age civilization, helping the Old Kingdom to grow into the prosperous civilization that it was. It is said that their power grew enough to rival the gods that mentored them and this eventually led to the Old Kingdom revolting against the gods and they both perished in the cataclysmic event known as "The Godfall". It is believed that although the physical manifestations of the gods were killed, their spiritual essences remained in the world, silently guiding all who would listen. This is the foundation of the belief system.
