Saint Hnossa

Saint Hnossa was a a great warrior who was granted sainthood by Avon after defeating the vampire lord Dealus the Black during the Age of Chaos.
Hnossa was just a young girl when her family was taken from her by the vampires that oppressed Danacia. Filled with rage, she took up arms against the monsters, questing to destroy their ruler Dealus the Black, Scion of Orazkus. From the god Avon she was given a legendary weapon, the mace Avon's Mercy, to aid her on her mission. Orazkus gifted upon his devoted follower a similar artifact, the Black Fist, a gauntlet that could bend any undead creature to his will.
During their first battle, Dealus used his artifact to dominate the black dragon Teridax. clearly outmatched, Hnossa was forced to retreat, but not before Dealus could steal her mighty weapon, corrupting it with the powers of the undead using the dragons evil fire.
With replacement weapon in hand, Hnossa again confronted the vampire lord, this time, dealing a killing blow. As the vampires' grip on the dragon faded, it begged Hnossa to spare its life. In an act of great mercy, she granted its plea on the condition that it remain outside Danacia so long as it lived. Before she could claim the artifacts, Dealus' surviving thralls stole them away with their dead masters body, entombing them somewhere in the Quaren forest.
