House Braunsmith

House Braunsmith is a vassal of House Albion. They are renown for their workings in steel and their seven-day rebellion against Albion Empire.

History

House Braunsmith was not always a noble house. Braunsmith was once a merchant group under the leadership of Trevor Braunsmith called Braunsmith Armament co. in XXXX the company was forced by the High Chair of the Albion Empire to produce arms and armor for the empire during X war due to the Siege of Eastenlav killing a large amount of the empires smiths. Brausmith Armament followed the High Chair orders but demanded payment once the war was resolved. The Emperor agreed but failed to follow through with full payment after the war. Trevor called for rebellion as he could not pay his workers wages. through what is now known as the 7-day war the Brauschmid Armament company and Jorgensons Mercenaries (who's leader Vance Jorgenson was Trevor's brother in law) seized lands surrounding Blackshire landing most without an ounce of bloodshed. by the third day, they took the black keep and forced Earl Van Avion the III to submit his troops and land to Trevor. Finally, word got to the Emperor and three companies of troops were dispatched to lay siege to the black keep. the fighting lasted two days with the emperor's troops making little progress due to sabotage and guerrilla tactics used by Jorgensons Mercenary's. on the seventh day, the Emperor sent a treaty not wishing to lose any more troops due to dwindling numbers of fighting men post X war. He would allow Trevor to keep the lands taken in rebellion and would even officiate his family but he must swear fealty back to the Empire. He must also send men to serve in the Empires Army as replacements for the men who were killed in the siege of the black keep. It was also stated that if Trevor refused or ever rebelled again the Emperor would burn Blackshire to the ground. Its only due to the injustices that were done to you (Trevor) by the High Chair that this rebellion was in any way tolerated.
