College of Biogenesis

The College of Biogenesis is an organization dedicated to the art of biogenesis, also called life magic or bio-magic, that is used to grow and shape living creatures to serve a wide variety of functions. It is one of the three Great Colleges that are said to shape the world alongside its rival schools of Arcane Metallurgy and Reanimation.
Though a place of learning the College of Biogenesis is far from a simple school. It alone holds the secrets of shaping life and has used it to shape the very idea of civilization itself. There is no city in the world that is not at least partially kept running by the college's creations and countless facilities and systems across the globe are maintained and fueled by the creations of biogenesists. As the sole wielders of this powerful magic the college has amassed incredible wealth and power rivaling that of entire nations and they have come to be incredibly protective of their secret art.

Public Agenda

The primary goal of the College of Biogenesis is simply evolution. The evolution of their secret art and the expansion of their understanding of life and how it functions. Thousands of mages across the world are dedicated to this goal and work diligently to uncover new mysteries of flesh and blood through their methods experimentation, creation, and dissection.
Their secondary concern is with the maintenance of their great works that allow modern society to function as it does. From sewer dwelling fungus to massive farms designed to feed the ever growing global population it is no exaggeration to say that if the College of Biogenesis were to disappear tomorrow the entire world would fall into disarray.
