Valor Guard

The Kingdom of Varden has a proud military history and becoming a soldier is an honorable tradition within the society. Completing a 10 year service is a remarkable milestone, far exceeding the average life span. Assuming the soldier is well decorated, they would be able to apply for a position guarding the capitol city's inner citadel. This position is highly sought after, these guardsmen will be protecting generals, the royal family, and societal integrity.   Just because the station is within the citadel, doesn't mean that training lets up. Regular training sessions are issued daily, specialized training is required. Some of the new training includes: crowd control, kidnapping, torture, and interrogation. Assignments outside the citadel can involve random loyalty inspections within the citizen population. Groups of 6 organize within the citadel and are briefed on yesterday's registry of concerned persons. A team approaches an address, breaches and secures the location. Interrogation tactics are used to pin point any citizen that may be unhappy with their life. Said target is then removed from the building and sent to a secured location within the city dungeon. The goal is to convince that life is good within the Kingdom of Varden and it is probably propaganda that has swayed their reasoning. A new name is given and they repeat the process the next day.   Another assignment could involve attending the king on diplomatic missions. Dressed as dignified diplomats, Valor Guardsmen not assigned to the king disperse into the city in an intelligence gathering operation. Key figures wanted by the kingdom may also be disappeared and found after the diplomatic mission is completed.   The Valor Guard is important to maintain order and security of the Kingdom of Varden.  Without the Valor Guard, the kingdom could very much stagnate into dark times.
