Duke of the Trade Lands

Duke is the highest position that can be held by a person of the Trade lands. Before the Amakir Empire, the Trade Lands was known as the Kingdom of Annok. Where a dedicated bloodline kept it's people free from outside influence. However, the King of Annok and his forces were unable to repel the might of Tahlim Amakir, whose archers rained havoc upon the open plains. After the subjugation of the continent, Amakir turned to domestic duties and the first order to Annok was to construct a mighty trading city along the coastline. This would involve forced resettling his people and ensuring that steady progress is made until he is succeeded. The King still held a rebellious heart and refused. After this Emperor destroyed the title of Kingdom of Annok and replaced it with a Duchy of the Trade Lands. Within this Duchy are multiple baronies that were given to those more loyal to the new emperor. He set an administrator to the the region and made his decree to construct the trade port.        Administrator Bohr Nerfatch sought to the Amakir's orders and began to plot plans. A majority throughout the land were concentrated into the coastline. Construction commenced, within a decade a series of work camps turned into a bustling city. While Bohr concentrated his efforts into maintaining and improving this new city Shinnaric, named after the goddess of commerce Shinare, the barons of the Trade Lands were left to their own devices. Open company warfare commenced as the barons attempted to out compete their rivals. For a several years company gangs would assault or vandalize competitors. This period became known as the Brawl of the Barons.
