Ména

(A settlement card for the benefit of my ttrpg group - to whom this is a Pathfinder 2e setting.)

Ména is the capital city of Uru and marks both the start and end of The Verdant Road.
Originally built as a trading post on the border of Uru in order to keep outsiders from intruding too deeply and upsetting the delicate balance held between the many nomadic tribes that dwelled within, over the millennia it has expanded into a bastion of regal architecture intertwined with nature that serves as a site of pilgrimage for adherents of the Dagist faith.   The city of Ména is cut in half by a mighty boulevard adorned with nine arches representing each month of the year that DagDae steps The Verdant Road. When DagDae departs and returns, citizens of the city gather atop the arches to throw flowers down upon him. It is considered a sign of great luck should a flower cast from one of the 'Nine Arches' land upon DagDae’s back and bloom. Many a celebrant has returned home from such festivities to discover they are newly blessed with DagDae’s divine boons.

Tourism

As the capital city of the country that is home to one of Therin's most active and most powerful Lesser Elemental Deities, Ména gets its fair share of travelers who come to view the 'Nine Arches' or attend the festivals of departure and return.
Thousands flock to the city every year to watch DagDae pass beneath the 'Nine Arches' and join the grand banquets presided over by Feastmaster Sagweii Proudtooth. Despite thousands of years of outsiders visiting Ména and by extension the outskirts of Uru, the Dagist Church is still mistrustful of outside intentions toward their sacred lands. For this reason vast tourism districts have been constructed on the east of Ména along the banks of the Samanutsi River. These districts contain anything and everything; smith-shops, glassworks, woodworkers, feasting halls, markets, taverns, theatres and temples. When visitors — often drunkenly wandering the inner streets of Ména — find themselves where they shouldn’t be, they are corralled back towards their rented accommodations.
