The Old Ones

The Old Ones are the most dangerous eldritch creatures to ever exist. According to the Eldritch Classification Guide they are a greater horror and the way to tell if it is an Old One is "you'll know". The Old Ones are theorized to be the first seven eldritch creatures to ever exist, forming before the the great cascade, laying waste to the once flourishing Aether. Having absorbed so much mana from the millennia they have spent in the Aether the Old Ones, while still being stuck in the Aether they are the most influential eldritch creatures in Thera. The Old Ones have the ability to reach into dreams and warp people's minds they also gain power from hysteria. Some people form a pact with an Old One, devoting themselves to causing chaos and inciting hysteria, these people are usually members of cults worshiping the old ones like Cult of Allbazar. Out of the seven only Allbazar has been spotted in Thera before, this was after the incident at the Afidorei Mana Factory tore a hole in the veil opening a way for Allbazar to come through. The sheer power of it being there caused the veil to need to fold itself, creating The Second Cascade. From Allbazar's short entrance some traits of the Old Ones were discovered. The most dangerous trait was the ability to inflict those around it with Eldritch Sickness.
