The Golden Glade

Formed over one-thousand years ago the ground was originally a thick and dense forest with trees stretching far into the sky and spanning over the flat plane over to the mountainous peaks.
Around this time volanic activity led to a lava spill and the deforestation of an area in the forest, however, over time nature has grown back and the area is full of life, using this opening to form a grassland, seperating trees and allowing for a general wellspring of life.
What exists now is a utopious sprawl of different animals that exist in peaceful coexistance in a harmonious diversity.
With the recent dawn of magic some creatures have been affected and may threaten the peaceful co-existance that has existed for a long time; the magic is causing creatures to morph and develop more dangerous tendancies. Additionally this magic may cause certain mountains to become active again.

Geography

The land exists on a flat grassy plain which is by a nearby mountain, through the glade there is a running stream of drinkable water and gap in the trees allows for a blissful ray of sunshine from sunrise to sunset.
The area is often visited by travelers when possible but is not videly know to the general populace less it's natural beauty be explioted and ruined.

Fauna & Flora

Animals: Deer, Rabbits, Wild Oxen, Wild Horses, Foxes, Bears, Various insect life.
Plants: Trees of varying (species, colour, height and age), grassland, wild mushrooms, fruit bushes (non-poisonous) and beautiful flowers of different types.
More recently magical creatures small or otherwise are beginning to appear, most of such are harmless but only for now.

Natural Resources

The large amount of trees and general cornacopia of wildlife, food and water would be perfect for local villages and travelers to gather from and acquire seeds in which to grow more locally and tame wild horses/cattle.
