Every nation in Thedastria stamps their own bits. It used to be that they varied in size and purity, but the dweller merchants used their powerful influence to standardize bits into gold bits, silver bits, and copper bits. Now, while each nation’s bits look unique and often have different names, their value is generally equivalent. So Feralden calls a gold bit a sovereign and Oroaetus calls it a royal, but both have the same value.

Significance

• A bit’s nation of origin usually doesn’t matter, so in Tails of Thedastria the following terms are used as standard: gold bit (gb), silver bit (sb), and copper bit (cb).

1 Gold = 100 Silver = 10,000 Copper

• Prices for most items are given in silver bits, as that is the most common currency and the one used for day-to-day transactions. Gold bits are much rarer and even one represents a good deal of money.
