The Surge

The Surge, has many names. Some refer to it as 'The Great Flood', 'Isadora's Revenge'
During the Old Age, gods walked among men. Within their Godstone Temples, the gods would over see their courts and indoctrinate worth mortals into their courts.   Upon this time, a young woman by the name of Isadora caught the eye of Kyko, god of Tempest storms, natural disastors and destruction. He came to her and profesed his adoration, but she refused, stating she loved another who was away fighting in a forgotten war. Disgraced, Kyko called upon his daughter Kyphin, and had Isadora's lover cut down in battle. When she received the news, Isadora flung herself into the oceans to join her love in the courts of Zenu. However, upon her death, she was given the title Infernal of the Oceans, forever bound to Kyko's courts, separated from her love in the after life. Through her rage and new control, Isadora raised all the seas of Theatrum, flooding the entire world.   The all the god's of Theatrum sheltered mortals within their Godstones, imposing all mortals into a dorment state until the new age could begin (The Age of Dreams). Kheadal, lord of Dragons, instructed his brood to fly over the flooded world and gather as many survivors as possible. Some mortals were quick enough to make it underground, to remain trapped and hidden from the rest of the world and the gods forever. Once, the remainder of surviving mortals had been gathered, the gods (save for Kyko) divided up the races amongst themselves so that all would be equal along Theatrum. While the gods discussed and divided up their mortals, Kyko struggled to main Isadora and her rage. It wasn't until she grevioussly wounded him, that he called upon his equal and his children to aid in the binding of Isadora.    The gods Duryodhana and Cain worked together to craft Isadora's Bonds. It took all of the gods combined strengths to bind Isadora to the Moonspire of Kyko. However, using the last of her strength before she was forever bound, Isadora sundered Kyko's Godstone from the main continent of Theatrum, rendering him powerless without the constant worship of mortals.    The gods the used a great amount power, to shove Kyko's moon further away from Theatrum, rendering Isadora's power over the oceans weaker.
