The Great Basin

The Great Basin is a vast lake in the The Everlasting Colds. It is being said the lake is frozen deep, completely isolating the waters underneath from the rest of the world. Wive tales say the gods have trapped monsters underneath, who are always trying to regain access to the world outside the basin.

Geography

The Great Basin is a vast plain, consisting solely of a frozen body of water of many feet deep. Mostly it is being topped of with a body of snow, making it difficult to accurately measure the actual size of the basin. It is being said ghosts dwell on top of the lake, seeking revenge for the events that happened here.

Fauna & Flora

No life forms would last long at this place. Adventuring humans have spotted birds, occasional polar bears and even elks on the plain. The usual sight is that of emptiness, of cold winds howling over the plains of this barren world.
