Tyrieze

Tyrieze is a kingdom situated around the Ghiran mountains. It's a rich merchantile society as it covets the only pass through the mountain range. The war between the Grahzentine Empire and Elorya has taken great political tolls on Tyrieze. In times past, Tyrieze was a powerful kingdom, but the King has lost much of his political power. As the economy grew, the country relied more on its merchentile faction and they eventually grew more powerful than the king himself. Although the King still has full control over the military and armed forces, the Merchent Guild has greater cultural and political sway. This has led to contreversy recently as the King is devoting his forces to gathering resources for the Grahzentine Empire. The unrest has led to an rise in crime and banditry, especially towards wealthy merchent caravans and the King refuses to send forces to help. The merchents have become very angry about this and the King is trying not to be crushed between the demands of the Merchent Guild and the neighboring Grahzentine Empire.
