Darkwell Keep

"Known as the first defense from the south this city takes its role as the watchmen very seriously. Their city guard along with several stationed knights keep a constant lookout from the nearby Darkwell Watchtower. Having once in the not too distant past been a victim of siege and the horrors that can cause the Lord of Darkwell vows to never again be caught without a plan to save the people of the small city.
Recently retired knight and royal smith Walter Winship, 'One Eyed Walter', runs a smith here and is the only adamant smith still alive or not fully retired in the whole kingdom but the metal is so rare none have found reliable new sources for many years. Other notable locations are The Stumble Inn which weary travelers can stop at for food, drink, and a room."
