Riders of The Spit
Structure
Rider communities are divided up into several dozen largely independent tribes. Each tribe is ruled by a patriarch, usually with succession based upon a bloodline, with sons replacing fathers. Though this patriarch can be replaced by a successful challenging male, if said male was to best the patriarch in fits of horse riding or hunting.
Each tribe pays tribute to and takes war orders from a large governing tribe. This Alpha tribe is also ruled by a similar patriarch bloodline system. While the Alpha tribe largely hunts and raids on it's own, it also can give orders to the smaller tribes. A sense of duty and tradition enforces these orders, which are respected as sacred.
Public Agenda
The Riders of The Spit are a nomadic hunter gatherer society that will raid when presented the oppurtunity. They do not possess stated goals outside of subsistence and survival.

History
Legend says that The Riders of The Spit used to be circus performers a couple centuries ago, travelling through Sangovy. They were abused and ill-treated by the circus masters, and many staged a successful escape. They fled into Lentaine along with the early lentic settlers, intermarrying but always returning to the plains on their horses. Their numbers grew over time but their way of life has remained the same.
