Porto Marina
Cradled by cliff sides lays the old, storied, beautiful town of Porto Marina. As the most prosperous of the northern facing Tempestan coastal towns, it is the home to a large portion of the Tempestan navy, who use it as a base of operations for raids into pirate territory.
Porto Marina is famed for it's colorful foliage, flowers of blue, purple, red and deep green. The petals of which find their way into the calm waters of Tulip Bay. Equally famous is it's expansive vineyards which produce some of the best wine known.

The population of Porto Marina is overwhelmingly human, specifically Tempestan.
Government
The town is officially run by a governor appointed by the Tempestan Senate who works closely with the local fleet administation, traders, and powerful noble families.
Defences
Porto Marina is cradled by large, difficult to climb cliffs, and it's port is protected by a natural chokepoint. Porto Marina lacks any form of walls or gates.
Industry & Trade
Porto Marina is an important trade stop, particularly for goods traveling between Vitemozzo and Olde Briney. It contains a bustling marketplace with a variety of bulk, common, and exotic goods. Porto Marina is also the much argued over home to the lucrative Tempestan wine industry, with each local noble family selling their own brand far and wide. Many peasants and poorer residents find work in the vineyards, dockyards, or fishing boats of Porto Marina.
Guilds and Factions
For quite some time Porto Marina was torn between the power of the Drake family, and the Moren family. These long time rivals competed with each other over trade and political power. This came to a head in 769 when the head of the Drake family passed away leaving control to his untested son. Moren thugs began starting street battles with Drake associates. The violence ended in 771 when an eccentric local brothel keeper assaulted the Moren household, killing it's leader.
Today the new leaders of both houses have agreed to marry and combine their noble houses under the Drake name.
Architecture
Like many settlements in Tempesta, most buildings are made from locally sourced wood, with clay tile rooftops.
Geography
Porto Marina has a comfortable temperate climate, with gentle snowfalls occuring in the winter, and sizzling heat in the summer. It's agreeable climate is only interrupted by frequent, powerful storms which blast the coastlines.
Natural Resources
Porto Marina has an abundance of farmland, fish, and a small lumber industry.
