Public Agenda

The goals of the Ilandian Colonial Empire have changed dramatically during the more than four hundred years of its existence.   At first its main goal was subjugating and Christianising the population of the so-called Northern Islands.   But eventually, over the goal changed into making profit. After the Ilandian victory in the War of the Eastern Seas in 1423, in which it won against all the great naval powers: Merovingia, Bitonia, Romasia, Milligea and Alsuc, the Ilandian Colonial Empire, which only controlled a few trade posts and islands, controlled large overseas territories ruled with only one goal, profit.   The discovery of Asturgazia in 1456 was yet another turning point. The Ilandians, only hindered by Bitonia and Alsuc, were free to claim excessive amounts of fertile land in New Ilandia. Altough the Colonial Empire made great profits they didn't primarily focus on expanding as the local kingdoms made it almost impossible.
