Spreading Christianity and re-uniting the former Romasian Empire
Disbandment
The Empire was de facto disbanded after Claudius Verinus dethroned the last pope, and was officially disbanded in the Treaty of Lopinata in 538.
Demography and Population
At its height, around 420, the Papal Empire ruled over at least 20 million subjects, making it the strongest empire in terms of population at the time.
Technological Level
Sciences reached an absolute zenith during the early years of the Papal Empires, with popes such as Darius II and Darius spending a lot on research.
With the coronation of the very conservative Pope Benedict IV in 436 sciences stagnated.
Trade & Transport
The Papal Empire reconstructed the old roads during its glory years in the early 5th century, but stopped doing so after the crisises of the 760s.
By the fall of the empire many roads were destroyed already.
