Dragonvale

Dragonvale is a sprawling city built above the buried bones of a titanic drag the size of an island. The dragon's cause of death was unknown but its remaining bones are magical and are called Wyrmsont. Wyrmsont is used to build walls and weapons due to its magic absorption properties and is very valuable. Due to the mining and export of Wyrmsont Dragonvale is very wealthy. The city is ruled by a noble council of 9 elected officials to vote on the actions and laws of Dragonvale.

Districts

Dragonvale has districts of various sizes each having a different style of architecture. Some of the most famous districts are The Gilded District: where the wealthy aristocrats live with huge mansions with marble columns lining the streets. Next to it is the central district where most of the government buildings and business centers are. There is a market district with stalls lining the perimeter of an open square. One of the biggest residential districts is the cabin district which has large log cabins in the hills of the city. Many of the city districts are plagued with gang violence trying to steal Wyrmsont to sell at the black market, the strongest of these gangs have Wyrmsont gear themselves.

History

Dragonvale was only settled 50 years ago but due to the discovery of Wyrmsont it grew rapidly and this growth drew the attention of surrounding villages. Dragonvale was constantly invaded until the noble council rose to power and weaponized Wyrmsont.
