Humans are currently the dominant species on The Wheel.
Their considerable intelligence, and high endurance levels led them to be moderately ideal hosts for the chakras.
Humans are believed to be one of the few species who can become hosts for all seven types of chakras and use the complex divine attribute of roi.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans are mostly hairless bipedal race with long arms and fingers capable of complex actions. They are capable of standing completely up right for hours.

Genetics and Reproduction

Humans are mamals with a gestation period of just under a year.

Growth Rate & Stages

Once born a human baby requires constant attention for over a year. The child usually starts walking and learning to speak after a few years, once a human reaches 10-13 they begin growing much more quickly and often expeirence higher levels of emotion in preparation for adulthood. Prime human adult hood is reached after around 20 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Humans can live virtually anywhere as long as its not too hot or cold. They have enough skill in crafting tools that if a habitat is inhospitable to them they can either change themselves to fit the enviorment or change the enviorment. The biggest exception to that rule are the storm cap regions on the Wheel which most human's avoid.

Omnivores.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Without their chakra's help. A healthy human has fairly decent long range vision. Most of their other sences are quite dull in comparison.
With Chakra assistance some humans can hear and see great distances and even sence the presence of the elements around them.

Civilization and Culture

Major Organizations

The Skyhold Empire is a human nation that occupies a territory stretching throught most of the continent. The Guild of Arms and other similar organizations keep the secrets of the Akros Roi ability from other humans.

Average Technological Level

Humans have recently made advances in metal working and electricity. They've started building radios for long distance communication and structures that stretch hundreds of feet up into the sky.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship with the chakras since the beginning. However most humans are blissfully unaware that the Chakras are their own species.
Humanity had a chaotic relationship with the Titans. Humans often lived on the outer edges of Titan territory. If the ruling Titan clan was charitable, naturally beneficial, or if the Titan clan simply ignored the humans entirely, early peoples respected and even worshiped the Titans. Its said that these generally harmless titan-human interactions was how humanity learned the many roi martial arts and how to access the Akros Rois.

If a human settlement was near a more aggressive and generally mean titan, people would usually just refer to it as a monster and send heroes out to kill the large elemental creature.
