The Crown

The highest serving individual in Vratixine and, in theory, the most powerful. The Crown answers to no one but themselves and are served by courtiers and ambassadors that exercise their will across the quadrants.

Qualifications

Those who receive the honor of becoming the galactic Crown have generally served on the The Greater Court of the Equinox as an Equinaire, though it is not necessary and has become even less necessary in recent centuries.

Appointment

The Crown is an elected rank, in theory, appointed by a combined vote of the The Greater Court of the Equinox and The Lesser Court of the Solstice . The past three centuries have seen an uprising in the passage of the throne as a hereditary matter.

Duties

Governing on the highest level in order to maintain balance throughout the galaxy and maintaining sovereignty over insurgents and rebellion forces.

Responsibilities

Attending court, issuing royal decrees, the occasional planetary visit to maintain good faith.

Accoutrements & Equipment

The Crown Signet added to the house crest is applied to all who take the throne, and those who are next in line.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Crown can be dismissed from the throne by a combined vote of no confidence on part of The Greater Court of the Equinox and The Lesser Court of the Solstice . The vote can be called by either court but requires a combined 3/4ths majority in order to pass.
