The Vratixine Galaxy (Vratixine 102.33)

Vratixine 102.33 stands on the edge of vicious gravitation tides as one of the last inhabitable star networks before a desolate sweep of wild space. The cluster galaxy is home to a sundry of "alien" species forced to cohabit systems and planets. Inhabitants are ruled over by the ever-present Monarchy and its assorted courts, as well as the Interstellar Transport Agency which serves to nose its way into the affairs of royal citizens at any and all opportunities.   Conflict abounds in the sometime claustrophobic landscape of the civilized galaxy, and many of the less respectable citizens find their niche in the Centralian Wastes, the desolate inner rim of the galaxy halfway destroyed by the sudden collapse of a star 3000 years ago. The Wastes are fraught with crime and lawlessness as the Monarchy and the ITA rarely extend their reach so far inwards and as such have become a haven for all things illicit and wicked.   Now, as the galaxy teeters on the edge of another civil war following the disappearance of a long serving monarch, citizens struggle to find their way through the political and social upheaval spilling into space lanes and domiciles. Nefarious bands of gangsters and marauders seep out of the Centrailian Wastes to make a play for the Palatial Ring, explorers and pioneers test the might of the gravitational tides to venture past Vintrum's Edge in search of, if not a savior, a place free from the conflict.
