The Accounts of the Godhead

Very little is known about the eon before the elves claimed to exist. Nearly all accounts of how the creation of the world came to be are very much tainted by mythologies and unscientific stories or dubious accounts. Mostly what is known of the first Eon is based on the accounts of the Godhead, which due to a state of erosion and faulty excavation, is rather incomplete, what is known is chronologically categorized below.   There were a number of godly creatures (greater entities) such as the Godhead's owner (called Old Prophet or similar by many, and Entity of Prophetism by many gnomes) among many others. It is described how they began with a slow churning of non-matter into matter and non-metaphysic into metaphysic energy in a complex process. As the matter formed, it created greater entities which were non-concious laws of the universe given too much time and too much energy to remain dormant. They clashed in a way without being able to control themselves as some laws of the universe became concious. Many of these greater entities were shredded and mixed with others, effectively destroying them and their concious aspects.   The Old Prophet seemed to embody laws which later became a physical law of the material realm. The Old Prophet, before dying, became aware of everything future and past, as if he had intelligence enough to preform perfect guesses on how everything came to be and will be. The Old Prophet, knowing he would lose his conciousness to time, crafted a replica of a humanoid body from stone, and tried to protect it in his last moments, failing to do so even with his perfect insight. In the Old Prophet's last moments, he carved out runes which, could be understood with practice and time, which eventually formed many languages today, especially Barban.   After his death, the Old Prophet says that none of the laws were original laws at the end of the First Eon, and all had been 'mixed' in one way or another, with the exception of time. The accounts of the Godhead describe time as "Bendable, but not breakable. Ends and beginnings come all the same." and numerous words used to describe time are found throughout the Godhead's runes, marking it as important in the eyes of the Old Prophet.   It is described that this body took part in forming Sem as well as other celestial bodies. It is unknown how life would have grown to be without the constructed body of stone to form Sem, and scholars speculate if it would have even formed at all.   The Godhead describes that, after this, the first living beings appeared after "a length of time difficult to estimate or describe", which ended the First Eon.   It seems as if there is no written language, even to a greater entity with perfect knowledge, that can describe things such as the formation of the first matter or meta-physical energy, as well as how these laws of the universe gained a sort of sentience, or how anything worked at all; however there is a very good portion of the Godhead devoted to describing exactly how it works. Due to the decay that has occured, and the lack of complete discovery of the runes of the godhead, these accounts read like the Old Prophet attempting to describe a recipe for something that cannot be completed, as each step is infinitely small.   ---   The Godhead's account of the Second Eon describes how over what is estimated to be billions of years, grew and evolved to be more and more complex. The accounts of the Second Eon become flimsy and strange, the Old Prophet claiming that after a certain point, material and meta-physical become blurred in some strange way, as a result of these people's advancements. He describes how this manner "feels" similar to how the beginning of his sentience occurred, but as if they were creating laws new to the universe.   The account of the Second Eon is more of a message to the people living in the Second Eon rather than to people currently alive. It contains incomplete, but relentless advice on what the Old Prophet would believe the steps to their downfall might be. It's detailed how no cause in particular will end the civilization, rather that time will eventually run it's course, and the world will become barren once more. The accounts describe an incomplete process on how to transmit matter into metaphysical energy, although the process is beyond us today, it seems to have been a process possible in the Second Era.   Most of the other things relevant to the Second Eon are particular analyses of particular events which would occur in the Second Eon; most of these are irrelevant to anyone but historians and to people living in the Second Eon.   ---   Third Eon
