Geography of Kinnekilant

South of the elven lands, the land is covered in thin or thick dirt, and most closely resembles a boreal climate, although it does not typically rain unless an entity causes it, there are few clouds, no seasons come or go, and it is about as cold as autumn throughout the year. While woods can be more peaceful in lands that haven't been thoroughly colonized, the elven flora has become a great problem to anyone living on the northern or central part of the continent, as the prevalence of cities, towns, and smaller settlements has lead to the flora becoming incredibly hostile. Ironwood trees take ages to cut down, while siege vines destroy buildings overnight by destablizing them, and bluehead ferns scatter poisons into farmer's fields. The kinnek have learnt to deal with the elven flora better than the melange have, and try to control their logging efforts so that the trees do not become too invasive, however in the eastern side of the continent, most non-city settlements are underground, as they're totally unable to make aboveground settlements. Numerous settlements lie abandoned due to invasive plantlife. Cities have survived by uprooting all plants, and digging away dirt wherever it is found so as to avoid the invasive species.   In the furthest places south, Melange have only recently been able to colonize the area, as it is far rockier than their own homes. The fledgling colonies are slowly spreading, but do not have to deal with the issues presented by the northern flora, as they have a far lesser population.
