Cats are a wide group of species, also known as felines.

Anatomy

Cats are in general quadrupedal. Notable traits are their cute faces, large eyes, large triangular ears, and tails.

Growth Rate & Stages

Cats are born mostly hairless, deaf and blind, and are taken care of by their mothers. Adolescent and newborn cats are called kittens.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Cats are as a rule obligate carnivores.

Some species of cats are domesticated, and greatly beloved by their owners, and so-called "crazy cat ladies".

Average Intelligence

Cats are not incredibly dumb, but not very smart either.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Cats predominantely visualise their surroundings using hearing and smelling. They have quite mediocre sight, and are far-sighted, but very good nocturnal sight, attributing to a reflective film behind their retinas. They also have very attentive whiskers for close distance detection.
