The Feris Crusade

Military action

The military campaign against the rampant Klingon Empire which resulted in a UDI victory and the assimilation of the Klingon people and its population into the Imperium.

Armies of the Astra Militarum swarmed into Klingon space and scored several initial victories mainly due to the element of surprise and the sheer size of the invasion. The charge was comparable to the Normandy Landing almost D years ago. Unfortunately, halfway through the Crusade, the Klingons initiated a massive counterattack that pushed back the Imperium's forces and retook most of the territory previously captured by the Imperium. Both sides suffered an attritional stalemate until the Imperium's Operation: Kronos Storm was initiated in 2499. This Operation lasted only X days completely destroying the Klingon defenses and capturing their homeworld of Kronos. What made this operation so successful was the use of Swarm Vessels. These special military vehicles included the famed Acclamator-class Attack Cruiser and the newly built LAAT Gunship. These vehicles like many others were capable of high-speed deployment that allowed the counter-attacking force to deploy troops faster then the enemy could respond. Ultimately, the Feris Crusade ended in a decisive defeat of the Klingon Empire in such a way that they would never come close to becoming a threat ever again.
