The Dystopian Utopia

hThe Risen know it as Earth, so it will be called such. The many large cities of The People are in relatively close proximity to each other, only a few hundred miles from the two furthest cities, Unity and City 425, and as such do not cover much of Earth, which has allowed the wildlife to take over all the ruined cities, towns, and suburbs from ages past. The People are prevented from even seeing these ruins by The Council, who demolished all old buildings that came anywhere within the sight of the cities or the trains that pass between them. All knowledge of such places and times has been wiped from the history of The People, and they know nothing about it. Even the Risen have not managed to venture further than the closest ruins, though those provided much that told them about the true history of the Earth.   As stated previously, the wildlife has taken back most of the land that the ruined cities occupied, meaning that those who venture outside the Spheres could meet anything, predator, prey, or friendly, while exploring the lands that Humans deserted long years ago.   The Cities of The People are all uniform, and are pretty much equal in capacity, about 4 million people per city, with each city roughly 80 square miles (adjust as needed or desired). They contain both large skyscrapers and low three to four story buildings, along with everything in between, but there is no individual housing. The People either work in the factories, on construction projects, in the shipment offices (raw material, nutrients, and other such things are shipped to other cities, primarily Unity), as technicians that program and repair machines, except for the AI which are built and maintained by The Knowledgeable at the capitol, Unity, as observers who monitor security readings for the city, or as Safety Officers trained by The Council. There are other jobs, but these are the biggest ones.

Geography

The geography outside the cities of The People is mostly desert, plain, and hill country, with forests scattered here and there, but none of the transportation trains allow for a view farther out into the world, where towns, cities, and suburbs can be found, either ruined or taken over by nature.

Natural Resources

All natural resources are either grown in the Farms, buildings specifically designed to grow crops efficiently and quickly, or mined thoroughly by Droids outside the city limits, leaving huge warrens of abandoned mines throughout the lands outside the cities. Protein is taken as a supplement, as they don't want to waste time bringing up cattle for meat. Wood is not used at all any more, only a kind of pulp made from recycled materials is used to make temporary support beams when building.
Alternative Name(s)
To The People all that is outside the cities is known as the Wastes, to The Risen it is known by it's ancient name, Earth.
